25 February 2009, cooked a few simple dishes for my Dear~
Just having this thinking that I should learn cooking now instead of keep wanting him to be the cook. Have to learn some skills to tie him up. *hehe* ^v^
However, it was not very successful as the dishes are 'abit' too saltish :D
Look down for more!

Seaweed Soup
Ingredients:
Seaweed
1 Chicken Stock cube
Pinch of Salt
2 medium eggs
Meats you want to have it in:
Fishballs
Crabstick
Meatballs
Procedure:
1. Put a pot of water to boil. After which, add in chicken stock cube.
2. Add in 'meats you want it in'. Then add in salt & pepper, stir well. Reduce to low heat. After 30 mins, add in seaweed.
3. Beat eggs briefly with a fork (Not more than 4 strokes).
4. Increase fire till soup is boiling then swirl egg in slowly till it forms strips.
*I used Ikan billis stock cube insteads, seems to me that its healthier. :D I guess if I substitute the stock cube with soy sauce and more salt, and maybe a little sesame oil, it will taste the same and even healthier. Shall try it again in the future.*

'San-Se-Dan'
(Steamed egg with salted egg and century egg)
Ingredients:
4 eggs beaten
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups chicken stock
2 salted eggs, shelled & cut into 6-8 wedges
2 century eggs, shelled & cut into 6-8 wedges
1 1/2 tbsp smoked ham
1 1/2 tbsp shredded scallions
Procedure:
1. Beat the eggs with salt and chicken stock.
2. Arrange salted eggs & century eggs on a plate & pour egg mixture over.
3. Steam for 10 to 12 mins.
4. Sprinkle smoked ham & scallions over it & steam for a further 5 mins.
*This was a total failure. TOO saltish *hurhurs* I bought the concentrated chicken stock and was not aware that the chicken stock have to add water and the portion is 1 cup water to 1tsp of chicken stock. I added 1/2 cup of chicken stock and 1 cup of water, so you can imagine how saltish it is! -.^ I didn't add in smoked ham and scallions bcos its too expensive.*

Stir-fried baby Kai Lan
Ingredients:
Baby Kai Lan
Mushrooms
Oyster Sauce
Chopped Garlic
Procedure:
1. Wash and cut the vegetables to reasonable size.
2. Stir fried chopped garlic once the oil is heated up.
3. Add in mushrooms and oyster sauce. Followed by Baby Kai Lan.
4. Add in a pinch of salt to taste and stir well.
5. Ready to serve.
*This was saltish too but its not my fault! :P It was my Dear who pour the oyster sauce. Its a bit too many for the amount of vegetables I'm cooking. Have to ration my saltishness while cooking in the future :D*
My Dear showing support for my cooking.. Hurhurs *.*
And the next day, I've got a sumptous breakfast provided by 2 of my colleagues... *Drool*
